Coach. Recruiter. Leader.
About Mike Marich
Mike Marich’s career has always lived at the intersection of athletics, education, and leadership. He has served as Head Boys’ Lacrosse Coach and as Athletic Director & Dean of Co-Curricular Programming at The Frederick Gunn School (CT), where he helped shape the school’s athletic vision and led initiatives that connected mission, culture, and competition. A three-time Coach of the Year, he recruited and coached five All-Americans—but more importantly, built programs that developed culture and character beyond the scoreboard.
His leadership in independent school athletics has extended well beyond campus. Marich has served on the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Executive Board, as District IV President, and as Commissioner of the New England Eight-Player Football League—roles that deepened his perspective on governance, collaboration, and the evolving landscape of scholastic sports across the region.
Before stepping into school leadership, Marich played Division I lacrosse at Hofstra University and later led global recruiting teams at Citigroup and Morgan Stanley. Those experiences shaped his approach to talent development, leadership pipelines, and organizational growth.
Whether in business or on the field, Marich brings a coach’s mindset—rooted in credibility, strategy, and care—to help people and programs reach their full potential.
Because in the end, one thing holds true: growth happens when culture, coaching, communication, and clarity converge.
