About Mike Marich:

I am a coach, a connector, and a builder of people and programs — someone who believes that the strength of a school's athletic program begins with the people leading it, the relationships binding it, and the systems that let both thrive.

My path here wasn't linear, and that's exactly the point. I spent years in the human resources function at Citi, Morgan Stanley, and Deloitte before following what actually lit me up: coaching, building programs, and working inside independent schools at The Frederick Gunn School. There, I served as Head Boys' Lacrosse Coach and Athletic Director & Dean of Co-Curricular Programming, helping shape the school's athletic vision and connecting mission, culture, and competition in ways that mattered beyond the scoreboard. A three-time Coach of the Year, I recruited and coached five All-Americans — but what I'm most proud of is the culture those programs built.

That work extended beyond campus. I've served on the NEPSAC Executive Board, as District IV President, and as Commissioner of the New England Eight-Player Football League — roles that deepened my understanding of governance, collaboration, and where scholastic athletics is heading.

Along the way, a committed mindfulness practice clarified my values — creativity, curiosity, compassion, and adaptability — and reshaped how I wanted to show up each day and lead. That evolution became Mindset Curated.

Today, I partner with heads of school and athletic directors to do the work that actually matters: developing people, strengthening relationships, and building the systems that let both thrive. The result is an athletic program that reflects what a school genuinely stands for — not just in its mission statement, but in how its coaches lead and its athletes grow.
